Maggioni Serigraphy is specialized in screen printing, to which it has added digital printing. The attention to the evolution of the market has led the company to invest in infrastructure and technology: in its two factories, Maggioni Serigrafia uses different printing techniques on various materials and performs accessory work. A particular look at the environment.
Q: What do you mean by 'decoration of products'?
A: Decorating means making objects of series unique, or even obtaining effects that make common materials unique. The decoration, unlike the 'only' silk-screen printing, requires operators to achieve high levels of quality and to devote greater attention to individual details. Furthermore, it is necessary to know - and be able to manage within the company - different production processes, products and technologies to be used jointly to obtain results of a higher level.
Q: What are the challenges for those working in the sector?
A: The challenge is to be able to develop and produce what at the moment
of the client's request would seem unrealistic. The knowledge of the techniques available and the willingness to experiment - even with a good dose of stubbornness - has allowed us, in many cases, to achieve excellent results, with great satisfaction for the whole team.
Q: Quality or convenience, what do customers choose?
A: The target audience of Maggioni Serigraphy is the medium-high market segment, in which the 'low price research' does not come first and it certainly does not impact on quality.
The customers of this range look for the quality of the finished product, but also a punctual and complete service, with assistance, advice, respect of delivery times and even some defects that we gladly give. Those who choose quality require - and often get - even a whole series of pluses not reserved for those who look exclusively at price as a discriminating element.
Q: Screen and digital printing, is cohabitation possible?
A: The two technologies coexist, and also very well! In this logic of cohabitation and complementary, some jobs continue to obtain the best results with screen printing, others are only sustainable with digital printing. However, it is the processes with combined techniques that allow us to compensate for any limitations of one or the other type of printing. Precisely this mix has allowed us to acquire orders
the realization of which would not have been possible using only one or the other technology.
Q: The most interesting digital technologies?
In the company we have two large format digital flatbed UV plotters, NoeCha DOT1, of very recent acquisition, and Roland Lef-20, of very high quality printing. In addition, we have a plotter with ecological solvent inks for coil materials. We do not intend to stop here with our investments: the current fields of application are industrial ones, but with a particular eye and with solid projects started and soon to be realized in the interior decoration sector.
